The Huron Sands Motel, opened in 1967, and is still owned and operated by the Cuthbertson family. Our look has changed many times over the years, but our dedication to the business remains strong.

Thousands of guests have stay with us over the years. Whether it be for business or pleasure, we cater to each one as if they are family.

In 1973 we opened our gift shop, which carry's unique, and interesting gift items. From a quick souvenir to fine pieces of furniture, we strive to stock our small shop with the finest items available.

In 1982 we added a laundromat at the end of the motel, to cater to tourists and local residents. There are 15 washers and 15 dryers, including a commercial size washer and dryer for those "bigger" loads. All the machines are coin operated.

In 2001 we decided to open up, a sort of "local meeting place", called Cedar's Coffee Shop. It is a place where locals and tourists, can sit and talk about the day's events. We offer fresh sandwiches, baking, soup, tea and coffee.
